We are a thoughtfully curated fabric shop and haberdashery situated in a beautiful old woollen mill in the North Coast of Northern Ireland. Our main focus is to sell high quality dressmaking fabrics to the modern maker alongside a number of independent sewing pattern companies and businesses.

We are passionate about teaching people the techniques of sewing as well as allowing people to expand their own knowledge through our workshops. They range from an absolute beginner to more advanced skills and run at various times throughout the week in our spacious studio in the back of the shop.

As well as our workshops, we will run more sewcial events, for people to get together and sew not in a class setting. These will be relaxed and full of chat!

I’m Becs, the face behind Oh! Sew. My journey to get here was started after a chance sewing workshop that I tagged along on with my sister. It very quickly kickstarted a passion in me I didn’t expect. I could never have predicted how much it took over my life, or how much my life is better for it. I get to create clothes that not only fit but that I can guarantee no-one else at the party will be wearing!

As my knowledge grew, I started to become more and more interested in fabrics and discovering independent pattern companies something which were not available to buy in Northern Ireland. I absolutely love that I can introduce people to new fabrics and allow people to start to grow their own handmade wardrobe and hopefully fall in love with sewing as much as me.

I am so lucky that my hobby has turned into my business and am so thankful for all my lovely customers who make this all worthwhile everyday.

Oh Sew

I have 2 shop updates for you, first of all I put some new fabric on the website today and all being well I have some more deliveries coming to me this week. I restocked that pink leopard print jersey that you all loved and got in a new colourway. It's hard to choose which one is my favourite!
With regards to the shop, I have moved the shop to my house. I don't hold a lot of stock and we had a small spare room that we had not put furniture in to so actually it's worked out perfectly for me. I sent out a lot of orders today, my local post office is still open but on shorter hours and are now closed Saturdays so I am able to drop the parcels off still and keep the shop going. I have however decided to reduce the amount I am going to the post office, to twice a week, with my next post being on friday morning. Then tues and fri next week again. Thank you so much for all the understanding and support as always. 💕
